CHRIS A. POGOZELSKI

 

A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in education, Chris also earned an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. An accounting and finance major at Pitt, he was awarded the prestigious D. G. Sisterson award as the top student in accounting and finance.  As a former educator, Chris is able to relay information to clients in a clear and concise manner.

 

Chris began his career in Pittsburgh in 1981 working for a national CPA firm, eventually serving as Director of Taxation for the firm's Entrepreneurial Service Group. He has spoken frequently on small business tax planning and has taught courses nationally on S Corporation taxes and entity structure.

 

Chris launched our firm in 1988. Although working primarily in the tax area, his background also includes work in financial statement preparation and multi-state taxation. Chris has been a leader in technology web-based accounting services and takes pride in having developed a paper-less office. 

 

LAURA S. HELBLING

 

Laura graduated from Robert Morris University and joined the firm in 1994. She has supplemented her Bachelors Degree in Accounting with many years of client experience in financial accounting and tax preparation.

Laura is the "point person" for our clients and she provides an extensive background in utilizing Quick Books Pro accounting software. She regularly employs "shadowing" in servicing these clients and can provide provide Quick Books adjusting entries in real time on our client's computers.

 

Laura's entire career has been focused on helping businesses through a myriad of issues in the areas of incorporation, payroll taxation, sales tax, tax return preparation, bookkeeping entries, and financial report preparation.  Laura is the firm's expert in payroll compliance and the reporting rules for filings with tax agencies.
